The much anticipated 2023 Xpander MPV’s exact specifications have just been made public by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines, a month before its formal launch in the Philippines.
The redesigned Xpander is available in three variations for the 2023 model year: the GLX MT, GLX AT, and GLS AT. These are already listed on the company’s official website. T-shaped headlights, T-shaped taillights, and two-tone 17-inch alloy wheels are standard on all models in addition to the redesigned front grille and bumper design. A 7-inch touchscreen music system with a rear camera is also included in all models. It differs from the top-of-the-line GLS in that it has LED DRLs and a new, “Horizontal Axis”-style dashboard with comfortable padding.
All Xpander MPVs will have a carryover powertrain starting in 2023. The 1.5-liter (4A91) is combined with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission. As 6,000 rpm, the highest output is stated at 104.5 horsepower, and the maximum torque is rated at 141 Nm. It does, however, have a better suspension system, with a more solid front strut mounting point and a larger rear shock absorber cylinder. It ought to result in flatter handling and a better ride when coupled with high-performance valves.
All variations have dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, and the GLS also has Mitsubishi‘s Active Stability Control (ASC) + Traction Control (TCL) system in addition to an electronic parking brake with auto hold.
Pricing-wise, MMPC is providing a sizable initial discount on the 2023 Xpander until April 30, 2022. Savings of between 72,000 and 82,000 pesos are represented by this. As a result, the Xpander’s prices are now as follows (Philippine):
- P 958,000 for the Xpander GLX MT.
- P 1,018,000 for the Xpander GLX AT.
- 1,078,000 for Xpander GLS AT
Additionally, these costs include an interior disinfection package and a complimentary two-year periodic maintenance service.
